RMMRU has officially launched its long anticipated survey research to generate panel data on the Impact of Migration on Poverty and Development. The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is supporting the first round of the research. The project will span 10 years and cover 5000 international and internal, male and female, migrant and non-migrant households.

Policy advocacy is an integral part of RMMRU’s approach to good governance in the migration sector. RMMRU a center for evidence-based research and grassroots action. Since its inception in 1995, RMMRU has worked diligently to illuminate the potential of migration to initiate pro-poor growth and poverty reduction in South Asia. By cooperating with regional and global organizations, RMMRU continues to facilitate collaborative research that effectively integrates and links global migration discourse with regional grassroots programs in order to identify and eradicate the key issues affecting Bangladeshi migrants.
